Droppin Off The Mountain
Artist's Notes: Dusk on a clear evening on the Doc and Merle Watson Highway always makes for a spectacular view of the expansive Wilkes valley below. The historic Blue Ridge Parkway bridge provides a strong dark shape via a "gentle oblique" that lends to a peaceful feeling. This was the show piece for the 2005 solo exhibition "Eight Miles High".
